Transfer Switches

Transfer switch equipment is applied to any application requiring switching operations from one power circuit to another. The transfer concept is typically applied for two sources where one is considered as a main/normal supply and the other an alternative/emergency source. The functions and design of transfer switches all work towards one key objective - having the ability to safely connect to an alternative source of power to continue supply to electrical loads downstream. Transfer switch equipment is available in manual, remote (motorised) and automatic variants.

Automatic Transfer Switches
Automatic Transfer Switches

Automatic transfer switches (ATS) provide a solution for reliable, rapid transfer of primary and alternative power to ensure the availability of electrical power in critical facilities such as high-rise buildings, hospitals, IT or telecommunications centres, airports and industrial sites. ATS equipment can operate autonomously without human intervention after commissioning and parameter set up.

Manual Transfer Switches
Manual Transfer Switches

NHP offers a complete range of manual multi-polar changeover and bypass switches that provide safe and reliable transfer between two sources of incoming power supply when operated locally by personnel. They are available in standard or visible break contact variants with a comprehensive range of accessories including mechanical interlocking.

Remote Transfer Switches
Remote Transfer Switches

Remotely operated switches allow the transfer from one power source to another (transformer/transformer, transformer/gen set etc.) to ensure the availability of electrical power downstream of the device. Operated via an electrical signal, volt-free contacts or other external control, for applications where a transfer switch is required to be predominantly operated by site control networks.
