Direct On-Line starters
NHP's range of Direct On-Line (DOL) starters are designed to provide reliable, cost-effective and convenient full-voltage motor starting. These DOL starters make use of the trusted, proven in application Sprecher+Schuh contactors and overload relays for reliable, accurate performance. The starters are available in various motor sizes (kW @415V AC), operator control, coil voltage and protection options to suit your specific application requirements.
NHP’s DOL starters come with the contactor pre-installed, with the range covering motor sizes up to 7.5kW. The overload relays are purchased separately and installed conveniently, directly to your contactor in the DOL assembly. Ideal for motor starting applications such as water pumps, fans, hoists, conveyor belts and more.
Coming to Australia in 2025, the CAT8N miniature DOL starter will be the latest model to be released by NHP, utilising products from the reliable Sprecher+Schuh brand. This compact alternative is the perfect option for motors up to 5.5kW (415V AC). Keep an eye out for the release in early 2025.

CAT7N - Direct On-Line Starter
The Sprecher+Schuh CAT7N range offers reliable and durable Direct On-Line motor starting up to 7.5kW, proven in application across various Australian industries.
For precise and advanced motor protection, CAT7N uses Sprecher+Schuh CEP7-1 electronic overload relays with a wide current adjustment range. This reduces the number of stocked part numbers—only two parts cover 3.2 to 27A!
With high-quality construction and versatile functionality, CAT7N is a powerful and dependable DOL starter.
What's New with the CAT7N DOL
Enhanced Protection: Compatible with CEP7-1* electronic overloads, providing precise and reliable motor protection. The wide current adjustment range significantly reduces the need to stock multiple unique overload parts compared to thermal types.
